RZH: Russ Rocks It 90s Style, yo!

I decided to go ‘extreme’ style for this Russian Zombie Hat web promo.
I grew up loving Rob Liefeld, GI Joe: Extreme, action figures that barely move…
…pretty much anything with unnecessary shoulder pads & pouches.
This is my homage to those glorious days.

Also, a huge, huge note for today, the Loonie Bin Comics Official Website is finally live, can you believe it!? Click on the photo to check it out!

(it’s also the first blog of the new year! hope everyone’s has been great so far!)

RZH: Russian Zombie Hat #1

This is the cover to the first release of Loonie Bin Comics, my own Canadian comic brand.
It was more of a variety/preview book than a comic book.

…but I love such things.

Munchsters #1

This was my original art for the first issue of Munchsters by myself and Sam Noir.
The final version got a little pixelated around the title and the whole thing seemed a bit stretched.
But it’s still damn cool to see your art physically exist as a comic book cover.

…also a big thanks to Shane Heron for doing the background of this baby!

The first upload of the month is the colour version of a pin-up I did for the comic, ‘Munchsters’ by myself and Sam Noir.

I wrote a while back about how much I liked the greyscale version but when it comes to kids’ comics…bright, vibrant colours are usually your best bet…

Munchsters, Munchsters, Munchsters!

This week’s update is a little bit of Shameless promotion for my Munchsters comic with Sam Noir.

Weapons Are Fun.

I made this to be the cover photo of the RZH (Russian Zombie Hat) Facebook, I was quite pleased with how the little gag came out.
I wanted to draw Russ holding a lot of weapons and it’s fun to see how things snowball from there.

…I can’t believe it’s already Halloween next week!
