WWE2K14'

One of my favourite things in the world is my wrestling game, so I did this commemorate this year’s installment.

Thalia's Birthday Card.

I did this for a friend’s birthday a few months back, it ended up saying my name on it as well and having a long message in the empty space to the right.
It was a lot of fun even if those mushrooms went through a few design changes, they didn’t end up being very Super Mario in the end.

I was thinking of making myself available to do these types of cards (they’re 6 inches tall & 8 inches wide) as commissions since I have a PayPal now.

Chop, Chop, Chop, Chop, Chop...Crunch!

The newest not-so-mini print from LoonieBinComics!

Revised from a 2 page sequence in the first issue preview of Russian Zombie Hat.

You can find this baby at GTA’s 1st Comic Con in Mississauga on Saturday April 19th, 2014.

…so far out of all the RZH stuff I’ve done, this best captures the feeling and fun I wanted when I originally conceived the comic, but I fear for this one I’ll have to leave an alternate version of the print on the table that doesn’t have the swearing..

It's Almost March!?

Somehow February has flew by, it’s been an interesting month for Loonie Bin Comics.
The most recent web promo, the Valentine’s Day one, went over really well and since then I’ve been steadily working on the next issue of Russian Zombie Hat, a full-length winter adventure due to come out…

…just in time for spring.

See you all in March!

Happy Valentine's Day from Loonie Bin Comics!

Valentine’s Day is finally upon us and what could be more romantic than some droolin’, grotesque, brain-eating at it’s cartoony best with the cast of RZH joining the celebration in the background!? (answer: absolutely nothin’)

Have a wonderful day everyone, I’ll have more for you soon!

A special note to add: Yesterday I went to my local Staples and got some special mini-prints made for all my upcoming appearances, they turned out wonderfully and there’s no greater feeling than getting to hold your actual, finished, printed artwork in your hand on heavy, glossy paper with bright, vibrant colours.

…adjective overload.

'Ahh! Zombies!!'

It’s another slow Friday for me, so I thought I’d share my upcoming ‘Zombie Transformation’ mini-print.
It was originally a Facebook exclusive, but I’ve since improved it.

You’ll be able to pick it up at GTA’s 1st Comicon in Mississauga on Saturday April 19th, 2014 at my table between 10AM & 5PM.

A VERRY Man-Tasty Pin-Up!

The hunky cartoon stud you see here is Joe Hank, from the pages of RZH: Russian Zombie Hat, one of the properties of my new Canadian comic brand Loonie Bin Comics.
There’s a lot of pin-ups of ladies in the world of comics, but not enough of the fellas showing their stuff, so here starts the next trend!

RZH: Russ Rocks It 90s Style, yo!

I decided to go ‘extreme’ style for this Russian Zombie Hat web promo.
I grew up loving Rob Liefeld, GI Joe: Extreme, action figures that barely move…
…pretty much anything with unnecessary shoulder pads & pouches.
This is my homage to those glorious days.

Also, a huge, huge note for today, the Loonie Bin Comics Official Website is finally live, can you believe it!? Click on the photo to check it out!

RZH: Russian Zombie Hat #1

This is the cover to the first release of Loonie Bin Comics, my own Canadian comic brand.
It was more of a variety/preview book than a comic book.

…but I love such things.

MERRY X-MAS!

When I was 6, my life was changed.
My first grade teacher read us “Captain Underpants” by Dav Pilkey.
A story of 2 young boys who make their own comics with nothing more than paper, pencil and unsupervised, inappropriate use of the school photocopier.
Strange to imagine how different my life would have been if I had never discovered that book.

Captain Underpants was created by Dav Pilkey and published by Scholastic Books
