Thalia's Birthday Card.

I did this for a friend’s birthday a few months back, it ended up saying my name on it as well and having a long message in the empty space to the right.
It was a lot of fun even if those mushrooms went through a few design changes, they didn’t end up being very Super Mario in the end.

I was thinking of making myself available to do these types of cards (they’re 6 inches tall & 8 inches wide) as commissions since I have a PayPal now.

New 'Loonie Bin Comics' Logo, RZH Style!

I have had this planned for a few months and finally got around to colouring and compiling it the way I want.
It’s not a replacement logo in the least for the crazed bird&nut you’ve (hopefully) come to know&love, but instead this might be used on properties other than Russian Zombie Hat (which I’ve talked about before on here).

I also might use it on my new business card, I need to make new ones since I ran out at the last show. (which went awesome, another big thanks to Stadium Comics for inviting me to their Free Comic Book Day 2014)

…on a side note: I know Ditzy’s hand covers up a bit of my name, but it’s cool, you can call me D.L Klöepfer if you want.

Suburban Nitemare: 'A Monthly Markham Tales Adventure!'

My weekly comic strip featuring the semi-fictional adventures of me and my local pals, Markham Tales Mondays, has been on hiatus since last year…but it’s coming back!
But not just coming back, it’s jumping from 1 panel to a full comic page, updated once a month.

My plan is to do a monthly adventure and then collect it annually in a single 12 page story plus bonus content.

GTA Comic Con: 10 Days & Counting..

In just over a week, it’ll be GTA Comic Con in Mississauga and my small, northern comic brand, LoonieBinComics, will be there with brand new stickers, brand new mini-prints and a brand new full-colour sixteen page comic, RZH: Attack of the Zombie Snowmen!

Included in all that will be an 8 by 6 print of this, the UPDATED (as promised last week) back cover ad for all upcoming releases from LoonieBinComics!

Be sure to check out the new Facebook cover photo too by clicking on this week’s picture!

RZH, which you’ve probably read about many times on this blog and has it’s second issue coming out at the upcoming 1st-ever GTA Comic Con.

…and Bikinis & Beards, probably my most exciting upcoming release which is already in the works and you can read more about on my website (linked below)

Chop, Chop, Chop, Chop, Chop...Crunch!

The newest not-so-mini print from LoonieBinComics!

Revised from a 2 page sequence in the first issue preview of Russian Zombie Hat.

You can find this baby at GTA’s 1st Comic Con in Mississauga on Saturday April 19th, 2014.

…so far out of all the RZH stuff I’ve done, this best captures the feeling and fun I wanted when I originally conceived the comic, but I fear for this one I’ll have to leave an alternate version of the print on the table that doesn’t have the swearing..

Thanks for reading Munchsters!

Really, I mean it, THANKYOU!
Munchsters co-creator/writer/bringer of snacks Sam Noir alerted me yesterday that our first print run of the book had officially sold out, so obviously, people out there have been reading.
It was the first printed comic that had my art (and only my art, but definitely featuring some beautiful inks from Shane Heron for one story) from cover to cover and for it to sell out is the greatest compliment I can think of.

It's Almost March!?

Somehow February has flew by, it’s been an interesting month for Loonie Bin Comics.
The most recent web promo, the Valentine’s Day one, went over really well and since then I’ve been steadily working on the next issue of Russian Zombie Hat, a full-length winter adventure due to come out…

…just in time for spring.

See you all in March!
